So I know that a new model comes out every year but how often does everyone here drop the cash for a new one? Every year, every other? From what Ive seen there really arent that many changes year to year but its usually worth it every 3-5.

About every 5, but only because you usually can't upgrade your phone's version of Android past 5 years. There is some other annoyances that make it worth upgrading, like the coating on your phone's screen that protects it from smudging getting rubbed off over time, or your ports getting worn out, and probably the most common is your battery doesn't hold nearly as much charge anymore(although that wasn't a problem 5 years ago when you could still take the backs off of phones and swap in a new battery).

I only upgrade if:
- Phone's too broken
- Phone's too slow
- Phone's too old for OS upgrades

I'm clumsy af, so the first one usually hits first. I usually go about three years.
