Recently noticed a resurgence of MLMs despite the bad reputation. Many people avoid their friends who join such MLMs, yet it evidently hasn't lost its appeal. Thoughts?

They’re scams but the very few people who do amazingly well on it keep it alive. Kinda like American capitalism in general!

Many people are only looking at its outer surface and does not think how they operate. Peer pressure as well

I recently saw that many of these companies now prey upon developing nations for new naive people to work for them. Also in many developing nations there tends to be less restrictions on what can be advertised so they push their products easily
