I watch anime quite a lot to be fair but I always wondered why do the creators stick massive exaggerated breasts on females like is it really necessary? I watched an anime recently Code Geass and in two episodes the woman’s nipples were showing I was like wtf I’m here to watch anime not see that crap

Cos most of the popular anime you see around are for the shonen demographic, aka teen males. Gag boobs are basically industry standard.

Though tbh it depends on how it was depicted. I don't rmb how Code Geass did it, but if it's just basically "there" without excessive attention drawn to it, there shouldn't be any issue w it. I doubt that it was done that way though

Breasts in the mech genre have been a thing since the 80s and mostly died out in the 2010s.Overall there is actually less nudity in modern anime unless the anime is devoted to being lewd.

Yeah, I too think there's a time and place for everything. :\
But it does sell. Plenty of otaku eat fanservice like that up. It's ironic because it's because of the history of fanservice that shows that use it artistically like Kill la Kill exist.
