Quantity over quality
#1
So, i'm kinda (or not) new in this forum, but not in the "leak game", but it's the first time i've seen a system that restricts so much even though it works as intended, acting as a floodgate so the forum doesn't turn into a "chan" of sorts.
The premise of requiring people to not only register but also be an active member, be it by :
  • Posting content (leaked or not).
  • Being active not only in the "part of the forum that matters".
  • Helping a fellow one-handed with their requests or questions.
  • Not spamming "thank you" like it's Dark Souls 2 and 3 PvP (yes i also fell for that).
All of these (even though, kinda of a bother to someone holding their ?) do serve the purpose of keeping the forum alive and running, i've seen my fair share of ghost forums that still had some working sauce in them but were not active anymore in any way.

So what do i think the problem with the current system is?
Let's go over the rules given (more than once) by the illustrious administrator Lucifer NightStar, wich are :

 "the "Contributor Level"
  • You get Positive Points for Making a New thread

  • You get Positive points for replying or making a post in the NON-Leaks Sections

  • You get Positive points for every single like you receive on your posts

  • You get negative points for making a post in a leaks section. This includes Nudes/Social Content Etc.

  • Viewing Threads has ZERO effect on your rating.

  • Buying or clicking links has ZERO effect on your contributor rating

This rating is simply a measure of how much you have contributed to the site."

As i stated before i do not see any major problems with the *SYSTEM*, but it's this one line that rubs me the wrong way :

"This rating is simply a measure of how much you have contributed to the site."

It doesn't seem fair to display it as a reward system, since it's actually based on quantity over quality ("he said it, he said the name of the thread").
It's wasn't only me that pointed it out, i've seen more threads asking the same question :

"Why do we receive more points *the more we post, but not *the better/bigger we post?"
  1. I won't confirm this as a truth anyone reading this should take with them, but, in my view and so far experience with this kind of content,  the administration either
  2. Doesn't have the time/people required to manually go through each individual thread entirely (presentation, links, edits, comments) analyzing them manually only before it goes live, to give the green card for it to be displayed.
  3. Interest in maintaining a low cost library. "There are only so many links/gallery/leaks out there, so we'll hoard them." I don't like this idea, and see it as an insult for the people working hard to keep the forum running as it is, both administrators and users.
  4. A marketing move. This forum is one of the rare instances where you can get a premium subscription not only to bypass the locks in the post but also boost your points. "B-b-but there are countless that do it actually!" ...yes you're right, but they don't have a one payment/lifetime option instead, for people that don't want to pay every month. So keeping the grind actually makes people more interested in paying the toll to cross the bridge.
  5. The administratos want to train you to be more selfless and generous. (Yeah right...)
  6. To keep the flood (of bulk packs) out, and create more opportunity for new members to post content that is out there available for more than one people, and keep everything clean (instead of "[MEGA] 1 tb Pack all leaked onlyfans/babes of X month" 100x over and over and over...).
  7. To keep us all visiting the forum the most we can during the week.
So, to wrap it up, i understand the rules, i know i can pay to skip all the grind and interactions (i favor the grind), i like the system, but not how it doesn't value the golden mines some people have (and want to share).

Hey, i'm just one more rat, but i like to see the community working together and getting rewarded for merit.

I do agree with your point that higher quality posts should be rewarded better than same old stuff.

At this point, it's a broken record, but our dev is working on a new Contributor system that rewards users more based on how well their content is received

Would this change for users that have a very positive score?

I wouldn't say it would turn into a chan (I don't see many /b/ or /pol/ tards here), but it would definitely turn into a community if this floodgate were opened up. That's really what's missing in this place - community. Right now, the way the mods have it set up, posting/creating threads in non-leak forums is promoted simply as boring ass chore to do, just so you can go and earn more credits, and hop back into the leak forums to spend away. That's it. That's not community, that's closer to training all the users as you would Pavlov's Dogs.

I think the non-leak forums posting needs to be promoted, and needs to have the maximum of 25 posts/day revoked, as well as the maximum of 10 likes per day. If you want to keep those limits in the leak forums, fine. But what you want is your user base to want to come here for more than just a leak. You have very little user engagement here. And with all the short-lived member accounts who are just there for leaks, it shows that all this place promotes is leaks. Even Pornhub has a much closer user base, even after their recent holocaust.

If you get a user base that WANTS to post a lot - even if this place turns into a chan - then you'll have a better user base, and better quality content posted.

So you're not a dev at all? You're just a mod or a janitor? As in, you can't do shit about anything on this board?

Does this really matter though?

When people are posting/pumping content. But can't see even 1 hidden post, yes it matters a lot.
By the way, if you use the [hide] tag on your posts/links, and you're deemed as a low contr. You can't see your own links.
This is messed up.

Is there really a better way to do things though?

thank you, i was wondering how this whole thing worked, there wasnt an apparent location to where all the rules and stuff were so this helps a lot. interesting system
