playing devil's advocate... this is something that football needs. UEFA jumped to action this quickly because it threatens their money income. they were losing almost all of the top clubs, which means loads of lost revenue. UEFA is like "you can't make money without us making money too"

so UEFA can't say "football is for the fans" or that the "ESL is greed incarnate" because they sin from the same crap.
