Age of empires, settlers and stronghold are all getting new games in the near future, do you think any of them will have the power to revive the genre? Any other old classics making a comeback?

What are some recent RTS games you have played? For me it would be Ancestors Legacy and Northgard - both great games.

RTS is in a bad spot, you can't really just improve the graphics or fine tune the game play and call it a day, the formula was already perfected 20 years ago. Unless something revolutionary comes along I don't think we will see the golden age of RTS again.
