Reading codes like reading a book?
#1
Just wanna know if programmers actually read codes like reading a book? do they usually does that during breaktime or having a meal or free time? like musician, they read their music script when they are at rest....

Not really. Sometimes people will look at the code of interesting projects or creative solutions but not just any random code.

#3
Hackers looking for vulnerabilities will do that, but otherwise I don't think anyone really does this.

I don't actually just pull up code and start reading it in my freetime like you would do with a book. What I would do though is browse Github and look at different projects in a language/topic I'm interested in and skim through the code to see how that user/team approached it.

It's more like reading a math problem. Every little part is important.
