Hey guys, I am looking to land a programming job in the near future and have been struggling for ideas of what to make to show off my skills and fill up my github. I do mostly java and some python. Any suggestions for projects that would look good to employers?

Have you had a programming job before?
If no, create a website or app for something that you would actually use. Make it fully baked and put it online. For example, I made a commute tracking app that I actually used -- not to get a job, just because I was trying to track my time. If you can do the full end to end, and it actually looks decent and works, possible employers will be impressed
