Got up to season six (my fave season), and am starting to get nervous about having to watch season 8 again. Anyone else rewatching the show?

Never gonna rewatch the show. In my opion the show really sucks after the season 4. And the last season was the worst of them. I recommend you to watch another show rather than GoT maybe in medieval genre like Marco Polo, Vikings, Barbarians.

I don't think I could watch the show again knowing how disappointing the ending is. It's all setup without a payoff. The writers just kind of gave up.

If you're watching for the first time then yes it is worth it, but only if you appreciate the development of characters in the first 5 seasons.

After that however, and getting into the final season, the payoffs are not very good at all and kind of undermine the experience.

The final two seasons destroyed any chance of rewatch-ability that show had. Really, the cracks started to appear in the fifth season, but most people were willing to give it a pass, as long as it could stick the landing. To me, and many others, knowing how awfully it ends ruins any kind of joy for watching even the earlier seasons, which were obviously great.
