It depends on the artist for me.  Some artist do mainstream and degenerate stuff though.

Yeah clearly ! When the drawing are too far from the original anime/manga, it's hard for me to get into. A good artist I found for that (was really impressed) is Super Melon, who did a lot of parody.

I'm the total opposite. I fap because girls in hentai are hot, not because they look like the source material. I usually get turned off if it looks too much like the source material unless it was ecchi trash in the first place.
