over releasing Black Widow on Disney+ at the same time as it was released in theaters as it breaches her contract. Honestly, good for her, I feel like she got pretty snubbed on the Black Widow movie taking too long to release (after her character dies in the previous phase of the MCU) along with releasing it on a streaming platform when she is promised money from the box office returns. It's disrespectful to say the least, but what are your thoughts on it? I think releasing movies on streaming platforms and theaters at the same time is a bit predatory to some of the staff involved in creating the films and is disrespectful to the theater industry. Great for piracy though lmao.

Apparently there was. The contract stated that Disney had to do a full theatrical release alongside any streaming release. Disney just streamed it and did a very limited theatrical release. There's a difference in residuals between theatrical releases and streaming ones, the streaming ones being lesser, because people seeing it from the comfort of their own homes makes less money than theatres. That is a breach of contract and that's why Disney's press release on it said that she could earn money from the amount of times it streamed. All they could do was shame her publicly because they really are in breach of the contract.

Disney fucks every single artist it employs, and that in more than one way. I hope she rakes them over the legal coals, they need some punishment. Especially after releasing their version of the Star Wars Trilogy.
