Recently graduated as a comp sci major a few years back. My biggest tip for anyone landing their first job is to practice interviewing. Your ability to explain your  way of thinking when answering questions will impress your interviewer even if you’re unable to solve the problem they’re asking. Make sure you’re you’re comfortable with the knowledge of course, but sociability goes a long way know days when there are so many skilled programmers in the market.
