So was VR Porn pretty much a dud?
#1
So what's everyone's thoughts regarding VR Porn, how it was handled/implemented by porn studios, and whether or not its pretty much dead?

#2
I think as the cost of entry decreases, it will become more widespread. I see memory/bandwidth as the current limiting factor if you are watching on your phone since those files for VR are HUGE. I think it is a good investment for the future since porn always tends to innovate (i.e. online payments)

I think that's the big factor as high quality VR sets are still pretty pricey for someone to get just for porn. Also as VR helmets/masks become slimmer and less bulky there'll be a greater desire to try it out (no one wants to wear 5 pounds of gear for a quick jerk session).

The quality definitely has an impact for sure, they might figure it out but it’s not there yet

I think it's just a bit too early, the technology needs to improve a bit more first

#6
With electronic sex toys, like those cammers use, its close to getting way better

#7
Despite "Virtual Reality" being a thing people have heard of for 40+ years, the technology is still in it's infancy. Give it 5 years and it will be more affordable, more compact, and data limits on mobile phones will be unlimited for cheap (just like what happened to text messaging, which is now almost always Unlimited).

VR porn is excellent, been into it since 2017. I think the industry is booming, there are regular releases in the paid sites. There's a lack of free VR porn though

#9
if you know where to look there are some pretty dope stuff

#10
the helmet usually rubs the head

#11
this is really cool

#12
it'll get there eventually

#13
The tech needs to improve a bit, but once you try VR, nothing else really compares tbh

#14
if you have vr kit its nice, but if you dont, i dont see the reasons to get vr, vr porn isn't that good

#15
Like many new things, yeah its a dud. VR is really cheap but if you're gonna go full VR porn then you'd want those fancy toys that simulate the motions of what happens in it. Those are super expensive and for something that I'd probably do once a week it ain't worth it. Maybe when theres a cheaper option it'll pick up

#16
I'd say its a lot more active by indie company's / solo developers

#17
Definitely not dead; maybe not in the limelight right now but it will live on and grow as things get better and cheaper.

#18
Don’t think so. Time will tell.

#19
quality isn't that great so far

#20
it's still a pretty new tech. Gotta get more headsets out there first.
