Steam Sale quality
#1
Is it just me or have Steam sales started to become worse in quality? I thought it may just be some nostalgia factor, but I definitely remember there being flash sales where good titles would go -85% or lower. I swear that stuff never happens anymore you know? And big titles will only go for 50% off when they used to drop to -75% easily. Anyone know why it's changed?

I usually just  put things on  wishlish and wait for summer sale usually. Also sometimes the non sale price also drops overtime so maybe that why you dont see it

#3
it's mostly older games or failed games that go on super cheap sale

try GOG if you want more money to go to the developers

I think it's just gaming models and the gaming business changing over time. Steam as a whole has also really grown over the years, which I'm sure also affects things.

you can still find some pretty good titles at 85% off. Most of the sales tend to be for bad games or old triple a games. I think one of the reasons for why some sales aren't as high is because games are starting to have a lot of post release updates and patches. This means that the games rely on sales even after the few months after release a bit more than games once. This is just speculation so take it with a grain of salt

I prefer to buying Keys from other shops in internet, better prices

#7
yeah, the point about steam becoming less niche makes sense. i'll check out gog!

#8
Yeah im feeling it too

#9
Just chuck them on wishlist and wait. Can get some really good sales on some nice games.

#10

Honestly feel like it's the same exact games on sale every time.
I don't need car mechanic 2014 again.
