Is there a way to put subtitles on a movie that I downloaded onto a USB to connect to my tv? My TV is TCL 6 series

If the movie has subtitles builtin then check your TV settings, if it's a separate file then also check if your TV can figure it out. Else download plex on your computer and chromecast it to your TV.

put the srt file in the same directory as the video file and make sure both have the same file name (except for the extension obviously)
