Have a low end android tablet. Looking to upgrade to a bit more premium. IPad the way to go? Or are the higher end androids worth anything? Seems like the options are pretty much samsung?

I've never tried them, but I've heard good things about the Microsoft Surface Pro series of tablets in the past. They're basically laptops without a keyboard since they use Windows instead of a mobile OS.
