The Flash Casting Decisions
#1
Does anyone know the reasoning behind DC's decision to cast Ezra Miller as The Flash in the movie franchises? At the time, Grant Gustin had already been portraying Barry Allen (in the T.V. series) for a significant amount of time. Additionally, the show was generally well received by audiences. Why did they cast an entirely different actor to fill a role that was already being fulfilled?

Good question.  Grant is better, at least in previous seasons.

The execs at DC wanted so bad to catch up with the MCU and they saw little projects like the Arrowverse as a side project. They wanted to separate themselves from the Arrowverse (which on one hand makes sense), but it sucks because the DC had two pretty successful tv show universes (the DCAU and the Arrowverse), but the DCEU execs refuse to take notes as to what made audiences gravitate towards them
