Rewatching this on TNT right now and I can’t think of a mainstream movie with so many glaring plot holes. The whole movie felt like a side quest that ended up writing ridiculous new canon into the lore. Why couldn’t an entire fleet chase down a cruiser in space even though it was moving very slowly? I also don’t get how a ship couldn’t defend against jumping to light speed? Why would t they have just done that to all cruisers? Anyone else hate this movie?

I don't necessarily HATE this movie, I'm just disappointed in it. If JJ had done all three or even another director more sped up than Rian Johnson, it would be passable as a good movie- but TLJ just feels too far from both TFA and Star Wars in general.. which in turn left TROS with so much to fix in so little time
