Those who used to play videogames but stopped, what made you stop?

For me, I've just found other things like writing music to be a more fulfilling use of my free time. I still play some indie titles on my Switch that are easy to just pick up/put down but bigger single player ones always take me forever to finish nowadays since I rarely find the time to pick them up.

It got way too hard when school started to pick up and especially now when I’m working full time! It’s nice to squeeze in games on the weekends but that’s about it

The wi-fi at my college dorm was so bad, anything multiplayer was unplayable, everything else would take days to download so I just pretty much just outgrew it after finding other things to do. I have one or two mobile games installed, but I spend like 10-15 minutes on them at most now.

I started working a lot more and didn't really have the time, fell out of the loop with new releases and didn't want to keep playing the same old games. Got back into it more this year with the Covid lockdown

No time and things got boring. I have more responsibilities now so I only get a few hours to do what I want for fun. Grinding in that game seems less rewarding than finishing up a bunch of half done projects or other "fun" things I could do. I still have a game or two I play  but trying all the new games is just not inside the time budget. A lot of games feel repetitive too and again the grinding isnt as appealing as before. I understand now why pay to win is a thing. Ill give you  5 bucks for that new armor because I can spare that a lot easier than the 20 hours of gameplay that will take to gather the components and craft it.

I stopped because t was just boring to play the same thing and i had other things that got me hooked
