I think poorly. It's another diversity initiative which has more to do with the way people feel about society, culture, and established characters and almost nothing to do with crafting the best movie possible.

I would love to be proven wrong, but I doubt I will.

Honestly not the biggest fan.
I'm certainly all for diversity and usually pretty progressive, but bond/007 has always been a suave British gentlemanly super spy, feels like a core part of the character and franchise.
If you want to give kids some different role models/heroes, great. Create a new franchise/character or something, don't go changing bond feels unnecessary.
Kind of like changing the formula/taste of coca cola or something. If you want to introduce a new flavor, great, but don't call it coke.
But whatever, not the biggest deal. If they kill the box office, then good on them!

They aren’t replacing Bond with her, from everything I’ve seen they intend to cast another white British guy as Bond (which I thinks a bit dull, Bond should be a man but he doesn’t need to be white). But as a character I think she’s good, it’s good to have someone young and more modern to interact with bond since they’ve been for a while now stressing how this bond is old and outdated.
