Tired of working
#1
Man I’m only 22 and only have been working a 9-5 or even longer on a lot of days for a couple years. How do you guys do this forever? I feel like I’m struggling as it gets so tiring to have to keep going. Any tips?

Keep pushing, stack money, invest and make your money work for you. Stay motivated brother. It's a marathon.

That sounds normal, don't worry it doesn't last foreer. I used to struggle getting through 4 hour shifts when I was younger without feeling stir crazy. Now I'm in my 30s and 10 hr shifts fly by in comparison. Two big things happen, as you keep getting older your perception of time passing speeds up, and as you get more responsibility you'll feel more invested in what you're doing.

That being said, you will eventually outgrow your job and need more of a challenge. I don't recommend staying at a job where you aren't developing anymore.

I feel you, I graduated from nursing 2 years ago and working 10-12 hours 5 times a week is extremely exhausting especially with this pandemic going on.

I know it is probably hard right now, but try and join clubs or organizations in your area, find some activities to do after work. Maybe see if you can move your work schedule around so you start earlier and end earlier, to enjoy the afternoon and day more. Good luck, it is hard out there

ngl this is pretty normal and for a lot of people it's like that till they are old and can retire

Maybe you should get a hobby or something similar to look forward to after working. It's easier said than done, but maybe you could look for a job that you really like, then it may feel less tiring to work.

Slaving away from the man destroys you. Working 9-5 is hard, especially when you're first getting used to it. Find something to do outside of work, and avoid the work drama that exists. That something outside of work should make you happier, or at least make you feel better, so you have something to look forward to during the day. That helps to get through all of the mind-numbing hours at work.

Its a pain man, try finding something you enjoy

That's why porn exists honestly...

Maybe consider a career change. Life is too short to waste on something you dislike.

Just hoping I can stash enough money away to retire early. or get lucky enough to hit the lottery jackpot
