What adaptations were better than you expected and what were worse? The Office (US) managed to grow into its own series and was rather enjoyable. They also attempted to do an adaptation of I.T. Crowd which was absurdly terrible. Any other television series that you enjoyed one interpretation to another or where it surpasses the original?

Only one I can think of is the failed attempt at an American inbetweeners, it was so bad they cancelled after a season. I literally couldn't watch a full episode it was so bad

The american red dwarf was so bad it didnt make it past a pilot, american skins was awful too

An American Red Dwarf wouldn't even work in my opinion, those characters are uniquely in their own league, who's the smeghead who greenlit that?
