What US state to visit?
#1
Hi,

once we Canucks are allowed to go south again I'd like to finally catch a bit of the US. Can someone recommend me what area to visit if I wanna indulge in food, sports and maybe a bit of nature? Have thought about either the Deep South or Chicago area, what do you guys think?

Cheers

Food? Texas, Chicago, Seattle, New York, Louisianna comes to mind, there's a ton more but, still.

Depends on where in Canada you're coming from. I do recommend Chicago but make sure you look up where to go and where not to go. In the span of two blocks it can go from luxury to murdertown

Careful if you go to Shitcongco, it'll be the end of you if you go to the wrong neighborhood. But Chicago style pizza is absolutely amazing.

If I were you: I would figure out which national parks you wanna go hike in. That'll determine which states to go to. Might be a good time to go to Yellowstone, while it's still relatively calm.

Hmm...food, sports, and then nature. One destination could be Florida maybe? Let me explain....

Florida has NASCAR, the most NFL teams, and 2 basketball teams.

Nature: Many preserves and some National Parks

You can buy all kinds of food too!

if your into any hiking or nature Vermont's a great but it sounds like your on the opposite coast, so it might not be your first choice.

CA has a ton of national forests and parks within literal driving distance of each other, not counting their state parks. (Same goes for their military bases.) If CA is your destination, figure out what kind of hikes you want to go on, and then you'll be able to narrow it down where to go.

No matter where in CA you go, be sure to eat at In N Out Burger at least once.

I think New York / New Jersey area would be a pretty good place to visit. You can get a bit of the city experience and nature.

Thanks guys for the replies Smile Much appreciated for planning!

Good luck, and be safe.

You don't want to experience Jew York Shitty right now. It's getting to be as bad as Shitcongo, but not quite South Africa tier yet. Avoid NY/NJ for now.

You also have to go to las Vegas!

Any of the New England states. Hiking, fishing, lakes, beaches, mountains, great food, beautiful scenery, nice people. There's something for everyone

I'd agree with the New England states - especially during the summer, no better place!
