What current bands will stand the test of time?
#1
So out of the current active bands (let's say pre-covid) who will last the test or time or go down as some of the greats. Like who do you imagine people will still be listening to in 30years. My guess is probably like the foo fighters or the killers.

Boy Bands and effeminate male singers come and go, but Metal will survive the test of time.

Yeah boy bands can fuck off and die. But rock lives forever. I like olichns suggestion of metal but I think it needs broader appeal to stick around.

That said I bet that despite being annoying af colday sticks around

The Beatles and Queen

I mean the beatles and queen have already stood the test of time, Im wondering about the bands still active now.

I would add Metallica (even though Lars Ulrich sold out), Megadeth, Iron Maiden, AC/DC. Those four are so big, even without much radio or tv airplay, that they'll survive many many years later.

To take a shot out of the dark on modern bands... ish. What about Avicii? U2... been around for a long time.

In my very biased opinion, I think The Strokes will leave a very profound mark on music even long after their gone. Their debut album 'Is This It' is an absolute classic of indie rock, one of the best albums of the 2000s. I'd also give a shout out to their sophomore album 'Room on Fire', my personal favourite and imo an equally great album, though not as critically praised as their debut.
