What do people enjoy cooking?
#1
I enjoy cooking meats more so than vegetables as it find browning and searing much more satisfying than the way vegetables have to be treated, which often times is just steaming or sautéing. Something that I find difficult to cook is soup, especially when there is a lot of water is involved, finding the right ratio of ingredients is so hard. Is it best to follow recipes strictly when cooking something unfamiliar or will experimentation eventually get you there?

The pandemic has made me realize I really enjoy baking. Pizza crust is my favorite thing to make and is very easy.

Since the pandemic hit, I've jumped into the world of baking.  I started out with breads but have now moved onto cakes and pies.  Also started smoking meats and there is nothing more enjoyable than starting something at 4am and having it ready at dinner time.

I never understood cooking. It seems like a lot of work for a meal that won't last for long. The clean up seems like a drag too.
