If anyone follows pro wrestling and especially backstage news and whatnot from the dirtsheets, it sounds like NXT is going in a completely different direction than how they've been the last few years. Less focus on workrate, more emphasis on size like the mid-2000s. This seems like a pretty big mistake to me because I think AEW is showing that you can have a pretty successful model if you lean on what makes the indie scene so popular, but Vince is just going back to his bag of tricks from the 80s which is pretty out of date by now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more top talent jump to AEW or get released in the coming year.
