I've really tried to get into Anime but the only one I've liked so far has been Death Note. I've tried Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto, Avatar, One Punch Man, and Attack on Titan. The only one of those that held much interest for me was Attack on Titan. Anything else I should try?

I've heard Tokyo Ghoul is good, but I've never seen it

Code Geass. The man character is similar to Light. A similar cat and mouse plot too. The main character is smart, gets a power, adopts a persona, and uses the power to further is idea of justice.

Also giant robots.

Anime is not really my thing but i liked Death Note too. I tried to watch Full Metal Alchemist but it was soo boring compared to Death note. Maybe i'll try to check some of recommendations from this discussion.
