Princess Mononoke (1997) is my favorite.
Almost every elements of good story in this work,
like human against human, human against nature, animal spirit, romance, conspiracy, curse, powerful main characters... too many.
It also use the history background of the war between Ainu people and Yamato people, make the unreal story like real happened.

Castle in the sky (1986) is by far my favorite. It's not quite as polished as the rest but i think thats part of the charm. the world building and characters are classic miyazaki and you can see a lot of this movie in the ones released after. Dola is similar to yubaba/zeniba from spirited away. Sheeta is similar to sophie. So on, so forth.

Spirited Away has a certain ethereal atmosphere i just cant get enough of it.
Castle in the Sky comes close second.

Howl's moving castle was pretty legit. heard that graves of the fireflies is decent too but have yet to watch. tearjerker apparently
