I think most fears are avoidable in some kind of way, but my biggest fear is death. Not my own, but rather the death of someone I care about, like friends or family members. It's the only thing that you can't change what so ever.
I personally have a fear of heights but as I said, if I don't climb up somewhere high I can avoid that fear. But death is end of the line.
