What did you want to be when you grew up, and how does it hold up to what you do now?

When I was a wee lad, I wanted to be the train driver or conductor of the bullet train or of a maglev, because driving a super fast train that floated in mid-air sounded like the coolest thing in the world. Nowadays I'm a mechanical engineer and I've worked in a few railway projects, but I've never driven a train.
