When did your opinion on your favourite character change?  What made that decision happen?

Most of the time my opinion changes when shows drag on for too long.  In Heroes I used to really like the Father, but wow did that show run out of stuff to cover and just started flailing.  Too many times the writers have one clear direction for one season.  Then the show takes off, gets renewed, and they have nothing more.  It's clearly just a mad scramble to turn an idea into a franchise.
