Why isn't MATLAB considered a real programming language?
#1
Like, yeah, it shitty when it comes to speed. But you can still do a lot with it.

#2
It is a real programming language, but it's so specialised for mathematical tasks that it's not considered a general purpose language by many people.

#3
matlab is a proprietary domain language. It is geared toward numeric computation within the matlab environment. The reason it isn't used as a general purpose language is simply because it wasn't designed for that.
