Windows Terminal any good?
#1
Hey all. I recently got Windows Terminal thinking it would give a Unix-like shell, but it's looking like its just a wrapper for Powershell. Is there something I'm missing here, or is it really just a skinned PowerShell instance? I was hyped when it first came out and gave it some time to fix up any bugs, but I gotta say I'm a little underwhelmed.

Well I've been trying it out a bit more, and I guess having unix commands is actually pretty nice. Being able to 'ls' instead of having to use 'dir' is more intuitive. That and custom color skins are enjoyable.

Doesn't look like much activity on the post, but those are my takeaways for anyone that sees this Smile

Think the subsystem has all of the Unix sys calls now and respectively all commands I can do almost everything on it I can do under Linux

Used it for quite a few months, I wouldn't really call it simply a wrapper tho, since you can open other terminals like WSL there.
working by the way is the way to find the way to the way of your life hahahah
