Is there anyway  to ease some of the rate limitations since this December has additional content with everyone posting?  

As "[my] actions to be similar to a scraping bot!"  is not true, and there is so much more content to go thru the alert system message is giving back a false positive.

I see this a lot too. I get why it's there but IMO it shouldn't apply to paid members (or the threshold should be much higher). I'm not sure if MyBB allows that out-of-the-box, so we might be asking for a feature that doesn't currently exist.

This kind of rate limiting is usually more of a speed bump than a road block anyway.

If this wasn't the case, a white knight could register, then simply proceed to report every single link on the forum, or use a bot to report every link.

Then paid members would be inconvenienced when links went down faster.

We chose a way we seem is fair. There are sites out there, where you pay for credits, then run out, then pay again. IMO thats worse.

Count me in too! Because after a long time of advanced porn surfing, I am basically immune, with a few exceptions, to posts with only image series. Even for videos under 1 minute because my baby seal just gets annoyed and wonders why that picture is moving for 7 seconds.

Scanning a MEGA post takes me a half a second so I'm really in deep shit in this matter.. =]

I take the opportunity to ask if there are advertisements during the countdown between LeakedBB and MEGA? I have a couple of tricks installed in Crome that spare me from such things. But I certainly wouldn't mind if there was visible advertising, i.e. nothing that interacted with us members, just visual advertising. Especially as we have a choice to immediately click through to MEGA.

I believe the holiday event, with its influx of content, exacerbated the issues with the current system. While the rules for posters aiming for a cash prize seem fair, the bot system significantly slowed down downloaders due to the sheer volume of uploads. The process of giving likes to uploaders and having to wait for the system before doing so again became tedious, especially when coupled with the spam bot filter impeding downloads.

The core problem lies in the tempo created by the flood of content. While the current system might work adequately for non-holiday events, the introduction of a cash prize exacerbates the issue, leading uploaders to saturate the platform with content. Attempting to support dedicated content posters by giving likes becomes a cumbersome task, outweighing the benefits, in my opinion.

I recognize the challenges you face with individuals attempting to white knight the system and remove posts, but I believe there could be a more effective solution. Some suggestions include maybe daily combo packs, where, making it easier for the downloaders to like their favorite uploader to help them win the contest, or alternatively, consider increasing the number of clicks downloaders can access by reducing the wait period.

Ultimately, these are just suggestions, and I understand that it's my personal opinion. Despite initial challenges, I took the time to understand the system you have in place, adjusted my approach by setting a timer when to come back, and continued participating.

OnyX members shouldn't be limited, you can set Cloudflare rules to "Under Attack" for download links to fight bots

Cloudflare's under attack does nothing to fight smart bots. These bots will solve the captcha, store the cookie and proceed to wreck house.

If anyone has a solution that solves these 2 problems, I will implement it and give them 1K USD in USDT.

-> Allow Onyx users unlimited access, no rate limits, no captchas, no slowdowns.
-> Make sure Users can not have unfettered access so mass report links.

Might be able to build a hidden reputation score (or risk score) for an Onyx user based on links they view vs links that go down within a couple days.
Would require a script to check which if a link is still up... since most are mega this might not be to hard, but not sure what mega rate limits are.

Sounds like a fun data problem.

Then as that reputation score goes up / trust is built, increase the number of links they can access.

Hmm have you ever asked why isn't Cloudflare itself spying on content then reporting the links to 3rd parties since flexible SSL is already in use.

This issue will be solved once you purchase SSL certificate and disable Flexible SSL feature by CF!

yes, or let newly registered onyx/elite have fewer posts, if you are here longer, see more posts. that's much easier. of course there could still be a limit of 100 posts per hour in the end, but would run much smoother when checking out 30-40 new posts a day.

I mean Onyx costs quite a lot, so whoever makes that purchase won't report any links and just wants to see content without being rate limited or anything.

I appreciate the hell out of Simpstar for posting so much and so often, but his links don't have that backup Onyx only link, which has a higher rate limit, so I can see like 5-6 posts from him and then I gotta complete the AI captcha.

Hello Guys,

Cloudflare's rate limit is a huge roadblock to everyone but it's there for security purposes specially the DDOS and brute force attacks, bot scrapping our links resulting to quick takedowns of mega links and spams.

I think the best way to avoid being rate limited is to open links with at least 10, 20 or 30sec interval after clicking the auto generated link from our website , clicking this links with low intervals like below 10 seconds will trigger the rate limit in just a few links hence you will be tagged as a scrapping bot and be needed to do captcha since you do things so fast. I do not have too much issue with rate limit just give a little rest with opening the links.

Waiting an interval of time before opening another link works, yeah, like Simpstar said. Anyway, if you can find a solution for this, it'd be great. Otherwise, keep doing what you are doing, this forum is great

Cloudflare is a reverse proxy, it doesn't know which links to report.

The ssl suggestion is good, but will not help * in this case*
