Finding a good way to invest to maybe live of the interest or let it grow until i can. I would put about 50-100k away for my upcoming cancer treatment as looking at the current costs of things i will need it.

With that amount of money, if its invested well you could pretty much live off the interest. A 5% return would gross 50k per year. Alternatively spend a bit on toys/fun and invest the rest for retirement - then you'll not have to worry as much about pensions
