I think the best way to use venmo would be to purchase a prepaid gift card if you have a venmo card or using the extra cash from venmo to cover the costs of the gift card in your bank statement. From there you should be able to link the gift card through paypal and pay this way. This would be best for onyx since it is a lifetime membership and you don't want to have a repeating charge on a gift card. Hope this helps.

I think Venmo now has a way for it to become the same as PayPal (because it's owned by it) where it's accepted anywhere with PayPal payments. Essentially it converts your Venmo into a PayPal but you have to manually enable it.
