Just spent 10 credits on something, was told that I didn't have enough credits to buy it but all of my credits were taken from my account? Can I get those back?

would be nice to know what kinds of 'contributions' are being looked for. i saw a post saying to make posts in certain parts of the forum a some point in the recent past..i tried but it didn't help my contribution rating..
