I think the DC getting a more "darker" way in his movies is pretty nice because we yet have super-hero movies more family with Marvel and have a more dark variant i think is a good idea

Darker plotlines are highly underrated. The comics are usually straight up, but a dark storyline can bring out the character nuances.
