anyone fully understand how hypnosis works in regards to complying with the unconscious?  the ideas are broken down to their core teachings but why it works fascinates me.  Richard bandler said simply its because humans know humans.  but i wonder if there more to it than being spoken about.

The way I understand it, our brain is tasked with processing constant input from all the sense and managing all the systems in our body to keep us alive. It is well documented that "shortcuts" like pattern recognition are used extensively by the brain. NLP is basically a collection of techniques used to take advantage of some of those patterns and slip by the "critical thinking" part.
