walking behind women
#1
i can see why women are scared walking home in the dark and a guy walking behind her. but why doesnt anyone speak from the other perspective? i mean when i walk home after work and a girl has randomly the same way as i do and its dark and nobody else is around. im anxious as fuck too! im not scared that something happens to me but i think about nothing than how not to appear creepy or scary so the girl dont feel scared. even if you have no intention on doing anything to that woman, she will still see you as a threat. if i walk slower, does it look suspicious? if i walk faster to pass her so she walks behind me, will it makes her more scared if i get closer and closer? woman these days see just evil in men. but i just try so hard not to make them feel unsafe but nobody sees that man try real hard too.

That might be true, but it's not worth beating yourself over. Whether you like it or not, many unusual scenarios pop into people's heads when they come across someone in that situation. More so with women.
If they're the kind of lady to take those thoughts to the extreme and seriously entertain that you would do something to her, just keep walking. People think messed up things all of the time, but you can't read their thoughts, so I guess there's no harm and no foul.

Probably not. From the little I've seen, people appreciate it if you cross the street and such.

Yes. That stuff is mega awkward at any time of the day with any person. If you do it at night, it has the added bonus of making the other person scared for their safety.
If you actually have to get home quickly, you probably have other options.

Once again, most people outside of social media don't think that way. And if they do, screw 'em.
Please don't be bait.

I think just worry about yourself. They're going to perceive it how they will and without knowing that base, anything you do or not do will illicit various responses.

i like to give them space just because its a scary place out there

I tend to always feel a bit sorry when I'm trying to pass by someone, which from their perspective is just a scary guy walking fast behind them.

Perhaps hopping on one leg behind her will make you appear less threatening.
