weight loss and cardio

so, I am reading lots of mixed statements in regards to cardio and weight training being better for weight loss... What is you opinion on that, cause I am really confused right now.

eat less, use body more = lose weight
doesnt matter

In my own experience, diet is the key to weight loss! Both of those are great additions but diet is the main source!

At the end of the day, calorie deficit = weight loss. Eating less = less calories in. Working out/cardio = more calories out.

diet is the key factor, exercise is a supplementation to your weight loss goal, not the main component.
