Anyone here still watch cable TV?

Everything's moved to streaming now. Even news channels have youtube channels where they upload stories. With the amount of ads I don't see how traditional TV can compete with streaming services.

Live local news and sports thats about it when it comes to tv. Streaming is where its at but you can never go wrong with basic cable or satellite packages.

Old people still watch tv and they usually have money. I could upload an external drive with years worth of old movies and tv shows for my inlaws but they still prefer to pay their monthly subscription and just watch old shows and movies on the tv organically. i feel the tv industry is safe for no but I would not be sure of its health in 10 or so years when the old people start dying or being put to homes where they mostly share one big tv.

Instead of browsing channels on tv, we are slowly switching to browsing the catalogs on Netflix

I've been using tv just as a bigger screen for movies streamed from pc for like 10 years
