wireless charging for laptops
#1
Why is there no laptop with wireless charging? Imagine how convenient it would be to just lift your laptop off your table at home and put it in your bag without having to detach the charger cord.

Could be to do with how inefficient wireless charging is. Laptops need a much larger power supply than phones.

Yeah i agree it might be because wireless charging isnt so strong so it wouldnt be efficient. It isnt even that great with phones

Great idea and I'm sure we'll see it in the near future but it's caused by a number if reasons. The biggest is the amount of power a laptop draws is much higher than a phone. Additionally there are smaller reasons like placement of the laptop etc.

I believe wireless requires the electronic device to have some sort of glass casing and im not sure how that will hold up on laptops lol.

Wireless charging actually ruins battery life. It shortens the battery's life span.

Yeah wireless charging is useful for some things, but it definitely has more hype/marketing behind it than it should. Like others have mentioned, its not energy efficient and it ruins battery life more than just plugging it in does.
