The reason they busted them is because this is an operation that isn't registered with the state. Mj growers have to get a business license, pay their fees, etc, so they can run a business. We have a ton of people that have small mj businesses, but these guys were making major money. And considering the weaponry found, I would say that this operation was probably a cartel run operation. They're still selling weed in this state, even though anyone can go down to a pot shop and get whatever strain of mj they want. You can even get delivery, just like Domino's!
The cartels use CA as their base of operations to sell weed to the rest of this state. They de facto run parts of BLM/National Park land where they grow weed openly. There are great profits to be made in the states where weed is still illegal. If you go hiking in certain places, you'll see open fields with weed, guarded by guys with AKs.
The cops made this bust, but there are probably multiple tractor trailers full of weed ready for shipment.
