It's filler. I don't understand why people don't seem to realize this, but it's not normal for studios to SCHEDULE their "CONTENT" years in advance. This has been in the MCU schedule for years which is a very clear indicator that these shows are filler content, not the end result of skilled storytellers putting together a meaningful story.

Older TV used to have similarly disposable shows, but they never pretended to be anything more than that, nor did they blow so much money on an inflated budget. When you watched "Three's Company" back in the 70s, you knew it was a crappy TV show meant for quick entertainment, and so did the show, and it was one of many just like it.
Loki, as ALL of streaming, is wannabe-prestige content.
