I've got 3 big ones:
Alpha Protocol: It's the world's first espionage RPG. It's by Obsidian, so the story's great. It's super buggy and the combat is deceiving. By that I mean it kinda acts like a shooter, but it isn't. It's an RPG. So you can line up a headshot with a sniper rifle, but if your skill's not high enough, and you have a bad roll of the die behind the scenes, you'll miss. This threw off a lot of the early reviewers who played it like a shooter.
Lollipop Chainsaw: A Suda51 game. From the mind behind Killer7 and No More Heroes comes a story about a high school cheerleader in love with her boyfriend, Nick. Unfortunately, on the day she's going to tell him she loves him, a punk at school gets the Necronomicon and unleashes a zombie horde on her school of San Romero High! Luckily she comes from a long line of undead hunters, and Juliet's always got her trusty chainsaw on her! With the head of her now-decapitated boyfriend attached to her hip, she's off to free her school, and hope her boyfriend's okay with learning about her family!
Lost Odyssey: An Xbox 360 exclusive jRPG from Hironobu Sakaguchi, the original creator of Final Fantasy. Called "The real Final Fantasy XIII" by some, you are Kaim. Kaim's an immortal with amnesia who's been alive for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Using traditional turn based battles with a little bit of influence from Shadow Hearts, you'll journey through a steampunk world over 4 discs learning what caused his amnesia, meet other immortals, their children, and your own grandchildren as you eventually save the world and learn Kaim's past through collectible mini-novellas in this gripping, somber tale
