if VR headset adoption picks up, it might take off. but right now the barrier to entry for getting a decent VR system is too high.

Unless you like downloading 25gb files you might not even like or delete after a viewing, VR is a waste of time and your SSDs lifespan.

Personally a big fan, you need to make sure you subscribe to sites that use quality equipment though. To get the most out of it though as others have said it requires a pretty big investment in your own kit, decent graphics card, quality headset with good FOV, etc. otherwise the experience is sub par with screen door effect and like you're looking down a periscope.
