I think everyone should still be doing that if they have something to share, regardless of membership type. My point was more about the other material you want to download - much simpler/easier as Elite/Onyx in my experience.

Guys it's $10 for 2 months of Elite. If you can't afford that, well, you have bigger issues and probably shouldn't be spending time on message boards hunting for porn and complaining about the credit system. Seriously, $10. It's a steal. The amount of brain damage you'll save yourself not having to worry about credits, replying to threads, contribution level, is worth way more than that. You can use the time you would have been spending on all of that to contribute elsewhere on the forum. If you have privacy concerns regarding the payment, I'm assuming you can use a prepaid Visa or similar, but best to confirm that with the admins beforehand.

@pdeluxe - I'm pretty sure as an Elite member you see all links posted on the forum, except those in the Onyx section. I don't think you should have to spend any credits. Maybe message the mod to see what's going on?

For me, it’s being a pain in the ass too, to be fair. I am trying to contribute with anything I know to discussions (programming and videogames), but it’s being frustrating.

On top of that, after being at 30 contribution score, I still don’t have access to the links that I spent the credits for. Can I ask how much do I need to start being able to see the hidden links that I unlock?

But, anyway, I propose you to do the same. Take any topic that you are experienced about, and contribute. Most of the time you don’t even need “material”. Outside the leaks section, a lot of people only wants knowledge or debating. So maybe if you work at a book store, for example, you could create a topic in entertainment with recommendations for books depending on genre... These kind of things.

So, from my experience, there's a delay in this. A thread being opened is +10 Contribution Levels (I think).
