There’s not much difference between any of the last 5 presidency. They all continue to keep us in wars, they all have continued to increase the wealth gap between wealthy and working class. Trump was the heel and gave news media unlimited content, he was great for ratings. But ultimately that’s all he was because he never followed through on what he said he would. He never got us out of the wars, he never created a comprehensive health plan to get Americans better health care like he ran on. He became a puppet of the elites even though his natural instinct was to do the right thing, but he is too weak. Biden is the same. All smoke and mirrors, somehow you’re allowed to campaign on things you won’t actually do. We have two wings of the same hyper right-wing party. We are the most interventionist country in the entire world, we occupy other countries, and spit in the faces of our own people when they ask for a measly wage increase or affordable health care. But I think people will just continue to fall for it unfortunately. The news media has done a great job as portraying your neighbor as the bad guy, not the lawmakers. “Republican bad Democrat good” or “Democrat bad Republican good”. Partisan cheerleading while nothing gets done and we stay distracted. I don’t care where the republican party goes because right now there isn’t a single congressperson or senator that isn’t completely bought and paid for by corporations and powerful elites. If someone comes about and can break free of this and fight for the little guy, i don’t care if they’re republican or democrat they’ll have my vote.
That being said, there are a bunch of fucking moron “rising stars” in the party. I.e. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Madison Cawthorn, both of whom have recently claimed that “socialism/communism is the reason the 1% is growing more powerful and making more money”. I don’t know if they’re just partisan actors pretending to not understand that that’s exactly how capitalism is supposed to function, or if they’re just really too stupid to understand what socialism is, but either way its not a good direction for the party because no one actually buys this shit. Police stations, libraries, hospitals, national parks, city water systems, state roads and highways, thepost office, are all socialist institutions and you don’t see these elected clowns screaming to tear them down. Its a bad direction for the party and I think there will continue to be a big divide between this wing of the GOP and the more “professional” wing of the party lien the Mitt Romney’s of the world
